Key Responsibilities- Assist registered nurses in the delivery of high-quality patient care, ensuring the safety and dignity of individuals at all times.
- Develop a deep understanding of the nursing process and contribute to the assessment, planning, management, and evaluation of care.
- Support individuals with daily living tasks, promoting health and independence through awareness raising and care navigation.
- Perform and record clinical observations, including blood pressure, temperature, respirations, and pulse.
- Undertake clinical tasks, such as cannulation, venepuncture, and ECGs, under the supervision of registered nurses.
- Ensure accurate recording of nutritional and fluid intake, maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
- Recognize and report issues related to safeguarding vulnerable children and adults, adhering to our trust's policies and procedures.
- Level 2 Functional/Key Skills in English and Maths or GCSE English Language & Maths at Grade A-C /4-9.
- Relevant, recent experience working within healthcare is essential.
- The ability to study at Diploma level and a commitment to complete a Foundation Degree Apprenticeship.
- A Care certificate or the willingness to obtain one during the first three months of the ANA programme.
