Payroll Implementation Specialist

Portfolio Payroll is seeking a skilled Payroll Implementation Consultant to join their team in Manchester. As a key member of the payroll team, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless transition for payroll customers from their current provider.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and execute customer onboarding projects for payroll in a timely manner.
- Take a documented approach to balancing payroll onboarding data, including static data, cumulative year-to-date balances, and comparisons to previous Full Payment Submission files.
- Explain the onboarding process to customers through regular project sessions and timely update meetings.
- Ensure data migration documents are completed correctly and thoroughly checked during the gathering and loading processes.
- Assist with processing parallel runs and ensuring all run results balance with the new customer's previous payroll provider.
- Manage a portfolio of projects, prioritizing based on customer and business need.
- Maintain customer confidentiality.
- Educate and guide customers on service and system features, demonstrating excellent customer service.
- Ensure adherence to the Payroll onboarding SLA.
- Manage customers to supply all data in a timely fashion to meet the agreed go-live date.
- Meet Key Performance Indicators and document reasons for project slippage with transparency of reasons and any additional cost implications.
- Previous customer onboarding experience within a payroll or finance-related role, with demonstrable experience of onboarding principles such as data loads, reconciliation, parallel runs, and go-live authority.
- Awareness of UK payroll legislation and tax regulations.
- Previous experience in SaaS platforms and awareness of HR and payroll systems and how they work.
- Light-touch project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining positive client relationships.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
