Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Proposal Technical Writer to join our team at First Recruitment Group - IT. As a Proposal Technical Writer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the creation, editing, and updating of technical proposal/bid documentation for energy security and energy transition engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and write proposal/bid technical submissions that clearly articulate the engineering solutions required to solve the challenges set by the client in their Invitation to Tender (ITT) documentation.
- Collaborate with project delivery SMEs, engineering discipline leads, and cost estimators to gather information and understand the technical aspects of technological solutions, products, systems, and engineering project team structures.
- Review and edit content for accuracy, clarity, brevity, and consistency.
- Create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to complement written content.
- Maintain and update a library of standard proposal/bid technical documentation, ensuring all materials are current and accessible to support future referencing.
- Implement document revision control measures and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Requirements:
- Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple proposal/bid submission simultaneously.
- Familiarity with content management systems and document control processes.
- Proven experience as a proposal/bid writer, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in persuasive/technical writing tools and software.
- Strong understanding of engineering concepts and terminology, preferably within the energy sector.
