We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist to join our team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. The successful candidate will be based in our women's low secure service at our York site, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for women with complex mental health needs linked to their offending behaviours.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trauma-informed care and a passion for promoting collaborative risk assessment and formulation. They will be committed to working within an MDT environment, adapting interventions for people with complex, diverse needs, and promoting a service-user-centred approach.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our service-wide clinical model of Trauma Informed Care and work closely with our senior clinical psychologist to promote and embed this approach.
About the Role- Provide assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for women with complex mental health needs linked to their offending behaviours.
- Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to promote collaborative risk assessment and formulation.
- Develop and implement trauma-informed care approaches to support service users.
- Contribute to the development of our service-wide clinical model of Trauma Informed Care.
- Work closely with our senior clinical psychologist to promote and embed this approach.
- Doctoral level training in Clinical, Forensic or Counselling Psychology (or equivalent) and HCPC registration.
- Knowledge of the theory and practice of specialised psychological therapies used to treat the population of service users specified in the job summary.
