Position Overview:
Childcare Assessment Specialist
We are seeking a skilled professional in Residential Childcare to contribute to the success of a prominent national training organization.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering Level 3 and 4 Residential Childcare apprenticeship programs to learners across the North West region. The position involves approximately
2 to 3 days of travel each week to visit learners at their workplaces, with the remainder of your time spent working remotely.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of practical experience in a Residential Childcare environment, along with at least a Level 3 qualification in a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
Childcare Assessment Specialist
- Provide training, assessment, and support to Residential Childcare learners as they work towards their Level 3 and 4 apprenticeship qualifications.
- Utilize e-learning platforms and diverse assessment methods to allow learners to demonstrate their knowledge effectively.
- Ensure high standards of learner completion rates and monitor candidate progress through regular reviews and additional support sessions.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Childcare Assessment Specialist
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a Residential Childcare setting (Essential)
- A Level 3 or higher qualification in Residential Childcare (Essential)
- Experience in delivering apprenticeship programs in Residential Childcare (desirable)
- Assessor Award (TAQA, CAVA, A1, D32/33) (desirable)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
- Valid UK Driving License
Compensation and Benefits:
Childcare Assessment Specialist
- Salary range: £27,500 - £32,000 (higher for qualified assessors)
- 27 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
- £160 bonus for learner sign-ups
