About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gas Engineer to join our team at New Forest District Council. As a key member of our property maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our properties are safe, meet the decent home standard, and are as energy efficient as possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality installations, prioritizing gas safety and adhering to industry standards.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of tradespeople to upgrade boilers and heating systems, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Contribute to the introduction of new low-carbon technologies, focusing on achieving net zero carbon emissions across our housing stock.
  • Participate in re-training programs to enhance skills in installing modern, cleaner, and greener energy products, such as Air Source Heat Pumps.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' industry experience in domestic boiler installation, servicing, fault diagnosis, and repairs.
  • Proven expertise in all aspects of the gas trade, including CENWAT1 – Central Heating Boilers and HTR1 – Fires.
  • Strong knowledge of energy efficiency principles and practices.
