We are seeking dedicated Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools located in the vibrant city of Derby. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the continuity of education for students in the absence of their regular teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising students in the classroom and maintaining a productive learning environment.
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons across various subjects, promoting student engagement and understanding.
  • Liaising with teaching staff and school management to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Providing support to students as needed during lessons, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring student safety and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with secondary school-aged students is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
  • Ability to manage a classroom effectively, maintaining a calm and respectful environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school environments, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
