About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Tax Incentives Specialist to join our team at BDO UK. As a key member of our Tax team, you will play a crucial role in advising clients on the tax treatment of share options and other forms of employee share ownership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on the tax implications of share incentives, including EMI, ESS, and other reward tax schemes.
  • Prepare share valuations and liaise with HMRC to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, providing expert guidance on tax and reward matters.
  • Collaborate with senior members of staff to develop new business opportunities and enhance our delivery of services.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and ensure our clients are aware of the latest developments.
Requirements
  • Proven expertise in tax and reward matters, with a strong understanding of EMI, ESS, and other share incentive schemes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax legislation and provide clear guidance to clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting deadlines and managing workload.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as CTA or ATT/ACA, and a strong understanding of accounting, employment law, and company law.
