About the Role - Deputy Manager

As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in leading and supporting our dedicated team of care professionals. You will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the smooth operation of our nursing home, upholding the highest standards of resident care and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the care team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality care, ensuring that residents' individual needs are met with compassion and respect.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, working in partnership with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, promoting a safe and secure environment for residents.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a management or supervisory role within a healthcare setting.
  • A strong understanding of the statutory requirements associated with elderly care.
  • Active NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse with a minimum of 5 years' experience, including at least 2 years in a Nurse in Charge capacity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Competency in using IT systems and software packages.
