About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and ambitious CAD Technician to join our team at SLR Consulting. As a Senior CAD Technician, you will play a key role in assisting colleagues in the delivery of a wide range of transport assessments for various clients across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice to colleagues and clients on highway design and transportation planning.
- Produce high-quality plans for public consultation and inquiries, utilizing standard modeling packages and recognized appraisal and design techniques.
- Develop preliminary highway schemes, design priority junctions, signal-controlled junctions, and roundabouts to relevant design standards.
- Design car park layouts, including multi-story car parks with access ramps, adhering to relevant guidance.
- Contribute to cycle scheme design, incorporating LTN-1-20, CD145, and LCDS guidelines.
- Utilize AutoCAD software and other design tools, such as Civil 3D, Map 3D, KeyLines, and KeySIGNS, to create detailed drawings and data.
- Assist in the review and assessment of new advances in relevant technology to ensure compliance with operational requirements and systems.
