Join Our Tax Litigation Team

At Jameson Legal, we are seeking a highly skilled Tax Litigation Specialist to join our team. Our client is a leading international firm with a strong reputation in the markets in which it operates, in both dispute resolution and advisory services.

Their contentious tax team covers both direct and indirect contentious tax matters. This includes managing tax risk, HMRC investigations and tax litigation (controversy) before the tax tribunals and higher courts. The team acts for corporates and private clients in many jurisdictions around the world, supporting them with advice and through crisis-related issues with tax authorities and regulatory and law enforcement bodies.

We are looking for a candidate with strong academics, intellectual rigour and strong technical and research skills. An interest and understanding of (if not specific experience in) tax law and procedure is essential. Experience of working on and running tax cases in a team environment is also required.

Candidates at NQ level should have completed at least at seat in non-contentious Tax if not Tax controversy, as well as a seat in Litigation. The team describes themselves as litigators before tax Lawyers, and as such whilst tax controversy-specific experience would be very highly regarded, a litigator with another specialism but with an understanding of and interest in tax-related work might also be of interest. Candidates with PQE coming straight from HMRC looking for a move into the private sector would be very interesting.

Key Responsibilities:
