We are seeking a dedicated Payroll and HR System Specialist to join our team and support the transition of HR and payroll systems from projects to business as usual (BAU), driving business change and efficiency through HR digitisation.
Job Purpose / Summary:
To support the Head of HR Solutions in managing shared HR and payroll systems across multiple Simply Group businesses, facilitating efficient service delivery. This hands-on, delivery-focused role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage large data sets. This is initially a fixed term contract with the possibility of extending into a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Administration:
- Support delivery of Simply Group managed service payroll, handle data submissions, check payrolls, and provide approvals for BACS and other payments.
- Administer the MHR/iTrent payroll system and Simply Group Compass, perform system tasks, and support HR customers with system use.
- Manage pension schemes, employment benefits, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Develop and implement HR/payroll processes aligned with managed service payroll systems, supporting changes to working practices.
- Proven IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Ability to provide accurate payroll and HR advice.
- Good knowledge of HR processes and Pension schemes.
- Previous payroll department experience or working with outsourced payroll providers.
- Skills in root cause analysis and problem resolution.
