The Procurement Specialist role is an integral part of the Procurement division at Rise Resourcing. This position requires a solid understanding of sourcing and specification for essential materials and proprietary components utilized in a dynamic electronics and engineering sector.
The successful applicant will be a meticulous, organized team contributor responsible for managing the complete procurement cycle. Key tasks include evaluating bids, negotiating costs, selecting optimal vendors, analyzing market trends, monitoring order fulfillment, confirming deliveries, fostering strong supplier partnerships, and maintaining essential documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring precise data management for supplier information
- Complying with established purchasing policies and procedures
- Assisting the Procurement Manager in alignment with the annual procurement strategy
- Acquiring necessary materials
- Establishing and nurturing effective supplier relationships
- Overseeing commodities in accordance with MRP guidelines
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in sourcing raw materials
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
- Experience in a supply chain context, particularly within the electronics or engineering fields, is preferred
