Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Imperial Professionals is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client, a leading food manufacturer in the Leeming Bar area. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary of £40,000 per annum, plus van and benefits.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure optimal production efficiency and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of equipment and machinery
  • Collaborate with production managers to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Work with the maintenance team to ensure all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard
  • Contribute to the development of the maintenance team and provide guidance and support to junior engineers
Requirements:
  • Minimum of City & Guilds ONC or HNC in a relevant field
  • Previous experience in a maintenance or engineering role, preferably in the FMCG industry
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
