We are currently on the lookout for an Electronics Systems Design Engineer. This dynamic position offers a remarkable chance to become part of a dedicated team.

This role is centered around the design and development of electronic systems, specifically focusing on new imaging and sighting technologies for the Aerospace and Defence sectors. You will collaborate with various departments, including product management and business development, to explore new commercial ventures while also supporting operational efforts and facilitating technology transfer to production.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and contractors to uphold a culture of respect and dignity.

  • Contribute to the development of electronic solutions for a variety of electro-optical products utilizing FPGA, digital, and analogue electronic hardware and software.
  • Provide systems engineering expertise from concept through to manufacturing and testing phases.
  • Assist in capturing requirements and defining specifications, including sensitivity and reliability analyses as necessary.
  • Interface with and manage outputs from subcontractors.

Essential Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering, with a minimum classification of 2:1.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven expertise in digital and analogue signal processing, as well as video processing.
  • Experience in analogue electronics design.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and layout.
  • Ability to create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation supporting the product development lifecycle, including specifications, manuals, and user instructions.
  • Capability to deliver presentations to clients and partners.
  • Familiarity with the complete design lifecycle, from initial discussions through requirements capture, subsystem design, hardware design, testing, and final integration.
  • Experience in firmware development, with knowledge of C (C++, C#, Python being advantageous).
