About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Ecological Support Specialist to join our expanding Managed Environments team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in:
  • Conducting comprehensive ecological assessments and surveys.
  • Generating detailed reports and providing expert ecological guidance.
  • Delivering toolbox talks and overseeing ecological compliance during project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
The role will encompass a variety of projects across multiple regions, focusing on:
  • Environmental Clerk of Works (ECoW) duties.
  • Habitat evaluations and protected species assessments.

As part of a close-knit team, you will be expected to:
  • Perform ecological evaluations in line with applicable regulations and best practices.
  • Create high-quality ecological documentation, including impact assessments and habitat management strategies.
  • Offer ecological consultancy to clients, engaging with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
  • Effectively manage projects to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Stay informed on advancements in ecological science and legislation.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A degree or higher qualification in ecology, animal management, or zoology.
  • Experience in ecological roles with a proven record of high-quality output.
  • Expertise in conducting protected species surveys.

Skills:
We are looking for someone with:
  • A solid understanding of relevant environmental legislation.
  • Exceptional report writing and communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • A valid UK driving license.
  • A flexible approach to working hours, including potential evening or weekend shifts.
