About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Domestic Violence Support Worker to join our team. As a Senior IDVA, you will play a crucial role in supporting our qualified staff in delivering care to our users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals who have experienced domestic and sexual abuse
  • Work closely with users to manage their needs on a caseload basis, liaising with other agencies as necessary
  • Lead a team of IDVAs, managing referrals and acting as a link person between management and IDVAs
  • Complete administrative tasks, including reporting and data entry
  • Work with other charities and organizations to provide a comprehensive support service
Requirements
  • Previous experience of working with victims of domestic and sexual abuse
  • Good knowledge of legislation and domestic abuse support strategies
  • Ability to work well in a team and lead a team of IDVAs
  • Driving is essential for this position
