Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team in St Helens. This is a full-time role, starting immediately, and will continue for a full academic year.

About the Role:

We are looking for a confident and experienced individual to provide specific support for one child with additional needs, including autism. You will work closely with the child, their family, and the school staff to ensure the child receives the best possible education and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support and interventions for children across all curriculum areas
  • Lead groups in activities in core curriculum areas, promoting learning and development
  • Work with individuals on learning and development activities, tailoring support to meet their needs
  • Prepare resources and areas within the setting, ensuring a safe and engaging environment
  • Carry out assessments and record information, contributing to the child's progress and development
  • Assist in daily routines, supporting the child's physical and emotional well-being
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working within a UK secondary school
  • Supporting in Early Years, Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (Minimum Level 2), Education Studies Degree, Psychology Degree, or similar
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding and Prevent training, issued in the last 12 months
