We are currently seeking a dedicated professional for the position of NPI Supervisor. This pivotal role is designed for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and are eager to lead new product introduction initiatives from concept to production.
In this role, you will oversee a small team while managing multiple projects that often operate under tight timelines. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in a manufacturing or fabrication setting, with a strong ability to interpret technical drawings and engage directly with clients and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate product and tooling costs based on client inquiries to support timely quotations.
- Lead the NPI team to ensure that departmental tasks are executed efficiently and systematically.
- Analyze technical drawings provided by clients and collaborate with the team to develop manufacturing solutions.
- Engage with external designers as needed to secure fixture designs for manufacturing.
- Take overall responsibility for ISIR and PPAP documentation and submissions.
- Collaborate with the operations director to ensure new products are designed for efficient manufacturing processes.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of business operations by identifying optimization opportunities and refining existing processes.
- Conduct weekly NPI meetings to provide updates to all key stakeholders regarding project statuses.
- Regularly communicate project progress to the board and proactively address any potential deadline risks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in NPI within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a small team.
- Familiarity with ISIR and PPAP processes is advantageous, though training will be provided.
- Professional communication skills for discussing technical matters in a commercial context.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Experience in costing and estimating.
- Computer literacy is essential.
- Background in project management is preferred.
