Are you a skilled HGV Operator with a proactive mindset and adaptability to various tasks? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you.

As an HGV Operator at Vitacress, you will be an integral part of our Logistics Team, responsible for transporting finished products to the primary Regional Distribution Centers and retrieving materials essential for our production processes.

You will ensure that Vitacress Salads Limited is always represented positively by adhering to uniform standards and demonstrating courtesy towards other road users.

  • Maintain constant communication with the Transport Coordinator, Yard/Despatch Team, and Customer Delivery Centers.
  • Complete and submit timesheets, tachographs, delivery documentation, and vehicle inspection reports punctually and accurately.
  • Report to the Transport Supervisor regarding load security, punctuality, and any challenges encountered during planned routes.
  • Adjust routes in response to traffic conditions, making decisions that prioritize the interests of VSL while optimizing fuel efficiency.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections at the start and end of each shift, promptly reporting any issues.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety Regulations set by both VSL and Customer Delivery Centers, including wearing appropriate safety gear.
  • Ensure all professional licenses and identification cards are current and available for review.
  • Notify the Transport Compliance Supervisor of any upcoming driving penalties or legal issues.
  • Stay informed about regulations and advancements in the Transport Sector.
  • Hold a valid HGV C+E license.
  • Understand EU regulations and the Transport Working Time directive.
  • Candidates must possess a Full HGV C+E Class One license along with a valid Driver Qualification Card (DCPC). We seek drivers who are dedicated, willing to work diligently, and possess strong communication skills.
