We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Forklift Engineer to join our client's team in the North East.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing repair and maintenance services for Electric, LPG, and Diesel forklifts and other material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage workload and prioritize jobs according to customer demands and company targets.
  • Perform effective preventative maintenance to minimize unplanned breakdowns.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems efficiently and effectively.
  • Complete and provide company documentation and records as required by the company management system.
  • Communicate with customers to agree on remedial actions when necessary.
  • Use a laptop and PDA to identify required parts and communicate with the office team.

Requirements

  • Hold a time-served trade qualification in engineering with a minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Be skilled in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
  • Have the ability to develop and maintain customer relationships to provide excellent customer care.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Hold a full UK driving license.
