Position: Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Salary: £37,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, 8.00am to 5.00pm

As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician at FCC Environment, you will be an integral part of the Waste Treatment Division (WTD) and quarries, providing essential onsite maintenance across various locations within the Yorkshire region.

This is a full-time role, requiring commitment for 5 days a week, though we are open to considering job share requests to accommodate your lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting routine and emergency mechanical and electrical maintenance on equipment such as pumps, valves, compressors, gearboxes, and motors to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Supporting process enhancements and site improvements.
  • Performing ultrasonic thickness testing on equipment and analyzing the results.
  • Maintaining detailed records of work performed, inspections, and testing.
  • Collaborating with contractors and FCC staff to achieve maintenance goals.
Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in the waste management and/or quarry sector.
  • A Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
  • A full, valid driving license, as this role involves travel to multiple sites.
