Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Solutions Engineer to join our team at NatWest. As a key member of our data engineering community, you will play a crucial role in driving value for our customers by building innovative data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain a scalable data architecture to support business growth and customer needs.
  • Extract, transform, and load data into data platforms to enable data analysts and scientists to make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with core technology and architecture teams to build data knowledge and data solutions.
  • Develop a clear understanding of data platform cost levers to build cost-effective and strategic solutions.
  • SOURCE new data using the most appropriate tooling and integrate it into the overall solution to deliver for our customers.

Requirements:

  • Experience in ETL technical design, data quality testing, cleansing, and monitoring, data sourcing, and exploration and analysis.
  • Data warehousing and data modeling capabilities.
  • A good understanding of modern code development practices.
  • Experience working in a governed and regulatory environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to proactively engage and manage a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in Informatica Power Centre, BDM, and IDMC.
  • Good working knowledge of Oracle and Snowflake.
  • A proven track record of leading and delivering complex data solutions.
  • The ability to drive deliveries to completion on time within agreed timescales.
