Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Scientist to join our Paediatric Audiology team at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Scientist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality audiological services to children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate and patient-centred care to children and their families, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Work collaboratively with the audiology team to support a positive team culture and provide guidance to less experienced staff.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of high-quality audiological services by adhering to standards and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for children with hearing impairments.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care for children with complex needs.
Requirements
  • Significant post-degree experience in audiology with a specialist interest in paediatric audiology.
  • Highly specialised knowledge of paediatric audiology acquired through a combination of in-depth experience and post-graduate/post-registration training.
  • Experience undertaking clinical audit and/or research.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure and prioritise workload.
  • Exhibit good judgement and excellent decision-making.
Qualifications and Training
  • BSc/MSc in Audiology or equivalent qualification.
  • Registered with the HCPC or AHCS.
