Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team at Kier Group, a leading engineering consultancy division. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering a broad range of civil and structural related services in both Temporary and Permanent Works throughout the Kier business.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and checking Temporary Works above and below ground in all materials, integrated with Permanent Works design if applicable.
  • Providing solutions that are safe and buildable, enhancing Kier's reputation and competitive position.
  • Supporting tender stage and bid winning efforts, focusing on buildability, efficiency, and innovation.
  • Reviewing 3rd party designs to ensure compliance with the brief and meet client and Kier requirements.
  • Managing and mentoring junior KPS staff.

As a Senior Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on varied and interesting projects across several sectors, including transportation. You will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

We are looking for a Chartered Engineer or someone who is looking to become Chartered, with a strong interest in Temporary Works Design or experience in the field. A full UK driving licence is also required.
