SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

LTF Recruitment is seeking a compassionate and nurturing teaching assistant to provide support to primary students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the Lower Eastern Green area.

This long-term role involves working with students in Key Stage 1 (KS1) or Key Stage 2 (KS2), either individually or in small groups, who have a variety of SEN. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a school environment, possess experience in supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, and demonstrate experience or knowledge in assisting children with SEN.

The successful candidate will be part of a friendly, welcoming, and inclusive Two Form Entry Primary Academy, supported by a Senior Leadership Team and a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCO). The school is rated 'Good' by Ofsted.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to primary students with SEN in Key Stage 1 (KS1) or Key Stage 2 (KS2)
  • Work with students individually or in small groups
  • Assist students with a variety of SEN
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a team
  • Hold Teaching Assistant qualifications or a relevant degree

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a school environment
  • Experience in supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • Experience or knowledge in assisting children with SEN
  • Teaching Assistant qualifications or a relevant degree
