Job Title: HGV Mechanic

Mobile HGV Technician, focusing primarily on Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMI). In this field-based role, you'll ensure that HGVs and specialist vehicles remain in top condition by conducting regular inspections and maintenance. You'll work alongside experienced professionals, conducting Periodic Maintenance Inspections (PMI) on HGVs and specialist vehicles to ensure they meet compliance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs to maintain the optimal condition of vehicles.
  • Identify any maintenance issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures during all tasks.
  • Work independently as this is a fully field-based role with no workshop on-site.
Requirements:
  • HGV City & Guilds or an equivalent qualification (or ability to demonstrate an equivalent skill level).
  • HGV Driving Licence.
  • Solid knowledge of HGV MOT laws and requirements.
  • Experience conducting PMIs and minor repairs.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic equipment.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety laws.
  • Customer-focused approach with a professional attitude.
