Mentor and Guidance Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Worker to join our client school in Old Trafford. As a Youth Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting the personal development of all students, promoting positive relationships, enhancing social skills, and encouraging academic engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Individual Support: Provide one-on-one support for students facing personal or academic challenges, developing tailored action plans to address their specific needs.
- Group Activities: Organize and facilitate group activities that promote teamwork, communication skills, and emotional resilience.
- Collaboration with Staff: Work collaboratively with teachers, counsellors, and other staff members to identify students who may benefit from additional support.
- Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents and community organizations to create a network of support for students.
- Progress Monitoring: Keep detailed records of student interactions and progress, regularly assessing the effectiveness of interventions.
- A degree in youth work, social work, education, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Experience working with young people in educational or community settings.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by adolescents today.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
