Job Title: Mechanical Technician (HVAC Engineer)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician (HVAC Engineer) to join our team at VGC Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing routine plant maintenance, overhaul, and fault-finding work on a wide range of mechanical plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, overhaul, and fault-finding work on mechanical plant equipment, including pumps, air compressors, fans, drives, motors, pneumatic controls, pressurization units, and electrical circuits.
- Complete point of work risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure that appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn and is in good working order.
Requirements:
- Holds City & Guilds Level III or NVQ (Essential)
- C&G/HNC or time served in a relevant engineering discipline, factory services, or similar subject (Essential)
- IOSH Managing Safely (Desirable)
- Ability to read and understand relevant generic risk assessments (Essential)
