- Collaborating proactively with client-facing and operational teams, employing root cause analysis from control testing to inform control improvements and risk management.
- Building and managing stakeholder relationships through feedback sessions and supporting projects aimed at enhancing the overall delivery and risk management control testing methodology.
- Driving local initiatives and supporting broader changes, taking responsibility for solution design, recommendations, and business cases.
- Overseeing QA/Controls RCSA responsibilities.
Candidate Profile

- Experience in first-line risk and control testing within a regulated financial services environment.
- Proven ability to lead control testing projects effectively.
- Strong decision-making skills, considering control, client, and risk implications.
- Capacity to plan, manage, and adapt to varying workloads for yourself and your team.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and assess risk/client impact.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of engaging positively with colleagues at all levels and confidently influencing change and improvements in control.
- Comprehensive regulatory knowledge, particularly regarding HL's regulatory environment, including FCA rules, GDPR, and DPA.
Interview Process
The selection process will consist of two stages, including competency-based questions and a presentation.
