We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Manager to join our team at Lancashire County Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of our academy's finances, estates management, and human resources functions.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the academy's finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Oversee the maintenance and development of the academy's estates, including buildings, grounds, and facilities.
- Lead the human resources function, including recruitment, talent management, and employee relations.
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and improvement.
- Collaborate with the Bursar (Chief Financial & Operating Officer) to ensure effective financial management and estates management.
- Proven experience in financial management within an educational or similar setting.
- Strong grasp of estates management and HR processes.
- Ability to produce accurate and meaningful financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience of absence management, personal risk assessments, and Occupational Health referrals.
- GCSE Math and English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
- School business qualification (CSBM or DSBM) or currently working towards accreditation.
- Qualification in health & safety, IOSH or NEBOSH.
