Job SummaryWe're seeking a Team Leader to join our Operations team at our Western Approach facility. As a Team Leader, you'll be responsible for leading a team of professionals in delivering operational excellence to our customers.
You'll have full accountability for all aspects of operational performance, ensuring we meet our People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cash, and Cost (PSQDCC) targets. You'll work closely with our Group Leader and other Team Leaders to drive the deployment of our Lean Operating Model.
Key Responsibilities- Create and sustain a culture that aligns with GKN Aerospace's 'A Great Place to Work' value drivers and Culture Principles.
- Hold Team Members and Team Leaders accountable for embodying the GKN Aerospace culture principles.
- Be open and honest when appraising and managing individual performance, while supporting and coaching individuals to close performance gaps.
- Provide opportunities for Team Members to play to their strengths and create ongoing opportunities for learning and personal development.
- Exemplify a safety-first mindset and ensure that GKN Aerospace's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and standards are applied.
- Lead and develop your team to understand the context, mechanics, and delivery of PSQDCC targets.
- Drive the disciplined and rigorous deployment of the Lean Operating Model across your assigned area.
- Be actively involved in problem-solving and the management system, using a 'Go to Gemba' approach to solve problems.
- Contribute to the Value Stream future state design and ensure its execution across your assigned area.
- Cooperate with other Team Leaders to ensure the best performance outcomes for the entire area.
