Design Technology Teacher Opportunity

Step Teachers is working with a previously OFSTED rated 'Good' school in Hackney that is seeking a Design Technology Teacher to join their team. This is a full-time position with a high chance of becoming permanent. The school is an inclusive environment where pupils are polite and friendly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons that integrate resistance and graphic materials into the design process.
  • Provide hands-on instruction in our fully equipped workshops.
  • Mentor and support students as they explore design concepts and develop their projects.
  • Collaborate with fellow Design and Technology teachers to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements, infusing your expertise into the curriculum.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong experience in a mainstream school teaching KS3 and 4
  • Bachelor's degree in design, Engineering, Education, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated years of experience teaching Design and Technology, with a focus on resistance and graphic materials.
  • As a Design and Technology Teacher, you should have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dedication to fostering creativity and innovation in students.
