About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Tobacco Dependency Advisor/Health Promotion Practitioner to join our integrated team at Doncaster Women's Hospital. This role focuses on improving health outcomes for children and families by providing personalized smoking cessation support.

As a key member of the 0-5 Health Visiting and Stop Smoking in Pregnancy and Beyond Team, you will work closely with service users to facilitate their quit journey. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Engaging with individuals who smoke and guiding them through personalized care plans.
  • Providing education, advice, and support on smoking cessation strategies, including nicotine replacement therapy.
  • Maintaining accurate records of referrals and contributing to data collection efforts.
  • Collaborating closely with midwives and other RDaSH colleagues to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.

About You

You will possess:

  • A GCSE standard C in Maths and English or equivalent qualifications.
  • An NVQ level 3 in child/health-related studies or equivalent experience in early years, education, or delivering stop smoking interventions.
