About the Role

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team in Surrey and West Sussex. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and supportive environment for young people aged 13-18.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a caring and engaging atmosphere for young people, promoting their emotional and physical well-being.
  • Plan and deliver activities that support learning, integration, and personal growth, tailored to individual needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations and guidelines, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Monitor and record progress, key life events, and any challenges faced by young people, providing valuable insights for care planning.
  • Collaborate with local authorities to provide exceptional care, ensuring seamless transitions and support.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers, maintaining open communication and addressing concerns.
  • Assist with daily tasks and household chores, promoting independence and self-sufficiency.

Requirements

  • A valid driving license is essential for our rural locations, enabling you to transport young people and staff as needed.
  • Passion and energy are crucial in this role, as you will be working with young people who require support and guidance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective collaboration and record-keeping.
  • Flexibility is key, as you will need to adapt to changing situations and schedules, prioritizing the needs of young people.
  • While not mandatory, having an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is a desirable asset, demonstrating your commitment to the field.
