Job Description

Rogers McHugh Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Security Commissioning Engineer to join our team. As a Security Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of security systems, including intruder alarms, access control systems, and CCTV systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and commission security systems, including intruder alarms, access control systems, and CCTV systems, in accordance with industry standards and codes of practice.
  • Work with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required specification.
  • Commission and handover systems to clients, including providing demonstrations and ensuring all relevant documentation is completed.
  • Ensure all relevant health and safety requirements are met, including completing timesheets and other paperwork on time.
  • Undertake any relevant training as required and ensure all relevant documentation is completed.
  • Support company policy and best practice in the area of fire and security, with particular emphasis on the protection of sensitive customer information.
Requirements:
  • A proven background and experience of working on CCTV, intruder, and access control projects.
  • Knowledge of Honeywell Galaxy Intruder, ACT, Honeywell access control, analogue, and IP CCTV systems would be a real advantage.
  • Ability to install and commission systems for CCTV, intruder alarm, access control, and other bespoke security systems.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work in a customer-facing environment.
  • The ability to work alone and effectively organize your time.
  • A good understanding of the standards which relate to our industry and the systems we install.
  • A good understanding of health and safety is essential.
  • A full clean driving license and a willingness to travel to locations across the UK.
  • ECS/CSCS card.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile.
  • A flexible attitude to working hours is necessary and we require a willingness to travel to locations across the country. Some overnight stays will be required due to the nature of the business.
  • Self-motivated and a team player, demonstrating professionalism, positivity, and proactivity.
  • Previous experience of working within a retail security systems environment.
  • Network/IP-based product experience.
Desirable:
  • Ideally have SSSTS or SMSTS cards or a willingness to achieve these.
  • Relevant qualification.
  • Supervisor experience including full project delivery.
