We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Officer to join our team at Cpus Engineering Staffing Solutions Inc.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating Front End Planning processes, including risk profiling, project breakdown structure development, and integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain accurate schedules, perform weekly updates, and facilitate project metrics reporting.
- Ensure approved change control processes are followed and maintain project baseline integrity.
- Maintain project schedule quality and accuracy, ensuring alignment with project plans.
- Interface with stakeholders to ensure project plans are updated and maintained.
- Monitor contractor schedule performance and ensure alignment between forecasts and budgeted labour.
- Facilitate project financial close out processes.
- Assist with continuous improvement of PMO processes and maintain an auditable project file.
The ideal candidate will have a four-year university education in Business, Finance, or Engineering and over 6 years of experience in project controls principles, project management within a Nuclear, Hydroelectric or Thermal generating facility, and experience with scheduling systems such as Primavera P6.
Candidates must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
