Job Title: DevOps Architect with AWS

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Architect with a strong background in AWS to join our team in Leeds. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating large-scale cloud solutions on AWS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement AWS cloud architectures that meet our business needs and ensure scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with our IT and business teams to guide the architecture and solutioning of new products and services.
  • Assess our cloud maturity and identify areas for improvement to enhance our cloud capabilities.
  • Work with our DevOps teams to improve our technical maturity levels and ensure the availability, functionality, performance, security, and cost of our applications.
  • Guide the adoption of new technologies and practices across the business to maximize our technological advantage.
  • Define, refine, automate, and improve our processes to increase efficiency, effectiveness, safety, and security.
  • Promote a continuous, automated, and feedback-driven route to production for product changes.
Requirements:
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or 4-8 years of related experience.
  • AWS Certification(s) such as Solutions Architect Pro, DevOps Engineer Pro, SysOps Admin, Developer Associate.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT architectures, infrastructure, cloud deployments, software engineering lifecycles, DevOps tools, microservices, CI/CD.
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices.
  • 3+ years of architecting and delivering public cloud solutions, particularly around AWS.
  • 5+ years of production experience within AWS.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and operating large-scale SaaS products.
  • Experience implementing and designing cloud-native security concepts, DevSecOps, or MLOps.
  • Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.
  • Proficient in leveraging CI/CD tools to automate testing and deployment.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of circa £70K-£80K plus an excellent benefits package. This is a hybrid role with a global operation based in Leeds.
