About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join our team at Polaris Education. As a SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education to pupils with complex ASC & SEMH needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons within the national curriculum, tailored to meet the individual needs of each pupil.
  • Support the class team in creating a safe and supportive learning environment, promoting positive behaviours and encouraging engagement.
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress, working closely with other staff to ensure the needs of each pupil are met.
  • Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extra-curricular activities and school trips.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, driving interaction and positive learning outcomes.
Requirements
  • Hold qualified teacher status (QTS).
  • Suitable qualification to degree level.
  • Previous successful teaching experience, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND and behaviour management techniques.
  • Commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
