Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Head Porter to join our team at St Edmund's College, University of Cambridge. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our accommodation systems, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Be the first point of contact for students and staff, responding to emergencies, and providing assistance with accommodation-related issues.
- Accommodation Management: Ensure all accommodation systems are up-to-date, accurate, and compliant with college policies.
- Facilities Support: Provide out-of-hours support to our facilities team, responding to maintenance requests and ensuring that all facilities are functioning properly.
- Logistics and Administration: Record delivery and sorting/franking of parcels and post, and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
- Technical Skills: Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and other IT systems to perform tasks and maintain records.
