About the Role

The Technical Manager is a key position within our organization, responsible for overseeing the development and quality assurance of our Fire Safety Products. This role requires a strong technical background, with the ability to review building control consultations and provide support to our sales professionals and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new Fire Detectors and associated ancillaries.
  • Resolve problems at the root cause and manage the engineering change process.
  • Support our product team to maintain and ensure safety and quality.
  • Proactively identify continuous improvements of our products.
  • Work with our team to identify knowledge gaps in product and legislation, and provide training.
  • Provide on-site support to customers facing issues, and deliver CPD training where required.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in the residential fire industry.
  • Degree or equivalent in Design Engineering.
  • Good knowledge of the fire legislation in England and Scotland.
  • Experience in manufacturing of fire detection equipment.
  • Problem-solving tool knowledge.
  • Ability to work on their own initiative with minimum supervision, and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Experience of working in the fire industry at a technical level.
  • Self-motivation, ability to work and get on well with others, and achieve deadlines and targets on their own initiative.
  • Ability to talk and present to large groups of people.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and simplify complex information.
