Position Summary: We are currently seeking a Mechanical Estimation Specialist to join a well-established team within a leading Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) contracting firm in the UK. This organization has a proven history of successfully delivering large-scale projects, including residential buildings, hotels, and student accommodations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Surveys: Conduct and organize comprehensive site surveys to prepare detailed mechanical estimates, tenders, and quotations, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the commercial department to review contractual terms, warranties, and develop a strategic presentation and agreement approach for clients.
- Estimation Software: Utilize advanced estimation software to create precise tender pricing schedules.
- Process Improvement: Leverage industry experience to enhance and refine the estimation process, focusing on efficiency, clarity, and accuracy while minimizing costs.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical and engineering background, with extensive knowledge of construction mechanical services design and cost components. Essential skills include strong analytical abilities, effective communication, and teamwork. A positive work attitude, high professionalism, and proficiency in MS Office, Asta PowerProject, and MS Excel are also required.
