We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Practitioner to join our team as a Scrub Nurse in our busy and dynamic adult theatre. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety in the operating department.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the positioning and preparation of patients for surgical procedures
- Help to control cross-infection by maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Participate in induction and orientation programmes for new staff
- Prepare patients for clinical and operative procedures
- Provide assistance in clinical and operative procedures
- Take charge of the clinical area in the absence of an advanced practitioner
- Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate peri-operative patient care
- Participate in the delegation and supervision of junior grades, unqualified and less experienced staff
- 1st level registration Adult and/or Children or Diploma or Degree in Health Care Studies / ODP Level 3 NVQ / ODA 752
- Previous perioperative experience in Gynaecology, Urology and Robotics is essential
- NMC or HCPC registered
- Ability to deliver high standards of care
- Knowledge of current professional nursing issues
- Payment of professional registration fees
