Your Role

As an experienced Senior Video Editor, you will ideally possess a minimum of 4 years of expertise in video editing. You will adapt to various project requirements, from long-form social campaign videos to short, engaging advertisements. You will collaborate with creatives from the initial stages of projects through to the quality control of others' work.

Your ability to swiftly transform designed assets into captivating edits is essential. Given the high stakes of THG Studios videos, agility and speed—while maintaining quality—are critical skills, alongside the capacity to accept and implement constructive feedback. A strong passion for driving creativity and enhancing every production is a must. As a senior member of the Post-production team, you will foster innovation and provide support to fellow team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Craft compelling narratives through creative and collaborative video editing.
  • Deliver post-production video editing for diverse platforms (TV, events, social media), utilizing specialized software and equipment for a variety of projects.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to develop dynamic video solutions.
  • Generate original concepts alongside the creative/video teams.
  • Work with in-house Producers to provide editorial expertise that ensures high technical standards in creative output.
  • Coordinate with the Video Production coordinator, Producers, and Project Managers to effectively manage your time and meet deadlines.
  • Offer creative support to colleagues, providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Adhere to internal processes, objectives, and key performance indicators.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members.

Requirements

  • A collaborative team player with a hands-on approach and a strong work ethic.
  • 4+ years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Professional demeanor complemented by strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional creativity and innovation, with a high level of accuracy and technical proficiency.
  • Flexibility to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A comprehensive understanding of post-production processes and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Premiere/Audition); knowledge of Da-Vinci Resolve is a plus.
  • A proven history of delivering video content for prestigious brands.
  • Ability to infuse all creative decisions with storytelling purpose and practical solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt your approach to both creative and analytical audiences.
  • Capacity to make informed decisions and uphold THG Studios' best practices with integrity and accountability in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
  • Experience collaborating within a team involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in editing videos based on creative objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to respond positively to constructive criticism.
  • Skill in balancing multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring clear communication with all parties involved.
  • Commitment to staying updated on current trends, editing techniques, and styles, as well as content platforms.
  • Experience delivering content under tight deadlines, with an understanding that late-night and weekend work may be necessary to meet delivery requirements.
  • Capability to provide final delivery elements on time in various formats.
