Catering and Bar Supervisor

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering and Bar Supervisor to join our Food Service and Catering Department at Leeds City College. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our catering service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Catering and Bar Manager in the efficient and effective operation of the catering service, working to agreed service standards and financial regulations.
- Ensure customers receive prompt and efficient service, exceeding expectations consistently.
- Deputise for the Catering and Bar Manager in their absence.
- Project a willing and helpful attitude to customers at all times, seeking appropriate knowledge of food items, and maintaining clean and fully stocked service areas.
- Carry out clerical activities in respect of daily catering controls, records, and complete daily paperwork and update computer systems in accordance with financial procedures and as directed by the Catering and Bar Manager.
- Use of an EPOS till.
- Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the café and cooking areas, including washing up and cleaning of equipment.
- Ensure food safety requirements are adhered to at all times and all due diligence records are completed accurately.
About You
- Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
- Relevant up-to-date knowledge of catering and hospitality.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and supervisory experience of bar and/or catering environment.
- Experience in using a till and dealing with cash and credit cards.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers.
