We are seeking an experienced and innovative Area Manager to lead our Children and Families Services team in East Riding of Yorkshire Council. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for managing a team of social workers and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to children and families.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of social workers to deliver statutory services to children and families
- Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and outcomes for children and families
- Work closely with multi-agency partners to ensure effective collaboration and coordination of services
- Monitor and evaluate service performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Qualified registered social worker with experience of managing teams and leading change
- Strong understanding of Children and Family Court Proceedings and experience of managing teams through change and innovation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work
