Job Title: Field Biologist/Technical Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Biologist/Technical Consultant to join our team at Kiwa UK. As a key member of our Pest Consultancy, you will be responsible for conducting inspections and audits of various facilities, both in the UK and overseas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections and audits of manufacturing, warehousing, and retail facilities to identify pest control issues.
  • Produce detailed and accurate photographic inspection reports to ensure compliance with industry recognized qualifications.
  • Deliver customer reports on time and in line with KIPC Company Policy.
  • Schedule and arrange inspection work allocation as provided.
  • Supervise and train new or less experienced employees in pest control techniques.
  • Develop business opportunities for products and services offered by the Company.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of legislation relevant to public health pest control.
  • Experience in storage and transport of pesticides.
  • Understanding of biology, behavior, and control of rats and mice.
  • Control of other vertebrate pests, including birds, rabbits, foxes, squirrels, moles, and feral cats.
  • Public health insect pest biology and control, including cockroaches, ants, wasps, flies, biting insects, and stored product insects.
  • Personal protective equipment knowledge.
  • Pesticide formulations and active ingredients understanding.
  • Willingness to travel both in the UK and overseas.
  • Dynamism, aptitude for problem-solving, teamwork, persistence, accuracy, practicality, reliability, flexibility, and results-oriented.
  • Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal relations at all levels.
  • Knowledge and understanding of various retailer standards.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Qualifications:
  • Practical pest control experience in a wide range of facilities.
  • RSPH Level 2 Award or Certificate in Pest Management.
  • BPCA Advanced Technician in Pest Management.
  • Level 3 Food Safety.
  • BPCA Certificated Field Biologist.
