Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our SEN unit within our mainstream school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to facilitate their learning and development.

The successful candidate will provide dedicated support to pupils with SEN, both in individual and group settings. They will assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of pupils within the SEN unit. Additionally, they will foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all pupils feel valued, supported, and encouraged to achieve their full potential.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with SEN, preferably within a school setting. They will possess a compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with pupils. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, are essential. A proactive attitude and willingness to support pupils' holistic development, including their social, emotional, and academic progress, are also required.

This is a full-time position, offering a permanent contract. Salary will be competitive and dependent on experience and qualifications. Opportunities for professional development and career progression within the school are available.
