About the Role
As Director of the Assets Advisory Practice, you will be responsible for securing new business, delivering projects to an exceptional standard, and leading and mentoring a talented team. Your reputation, leadership, and expertise in asset management within the transport industry will drive our business forward.
TRL supports its clients' asset management needs through our Advisory Services, Field and Professional Services, and Software products. We own and operate the Smart Mobility Living Lab, a globally unique testbed that can support client development, testing, trials, simulations, and behavioral studies. Our team specializes in pavements and highways. The team you lead focuses on evidence-based research and innovation advisory work, bringing together all of TRL's capabilities and those of our partners to help organizations in both the public and private sectors create the future of transport and their own futures. While most of our work is UK-based, we also have significant clients in Low and Middle Income Countries where our mission to make transport more sustainable, efficient, and accessible is increasingly relevant.
The successful candidate may be based at TRL Headquarters in Wokingham, Berkshire, and we welcome flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Significantly contribute to the overall business development by winning new work for yourself and the wider team.
- Ensure all projects are delivered to a high level of customer satisfaction. Your personal contribution to projects will be an important aspect of your leadership.
- Effectively lead, develop, and mentor members of the wider team.
Skills & Experience
- A recognized national/international leader in the relevant capability area of Assets with a strong network of client contacts.
- Proven experience in leading and managing successful teams within a consulting environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
