We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Operations Maintenance Technician to join our team at FedEx. As a key member of our operations maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant and equipment, adhering to recognized standards and preventative maintenance schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of machinery, adhering to safety protocols and operational necessities.
- Monitor staff attendance and take corrective action as necessary to maintain a high-performing team.
- Continuously supervise and monitor the performance of the maintenance team, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to procedures.
- Identify potential problems and take immediate corrective action through delegation, personal action, or referral to management.
- Effectively communicate with Depot and Operations Managers, Section Leaders, and Control Room personnel to resolve difficulties and inquiries.
- Ensure seamless transition of traffic across machines, prioritizing Health and Safety.
- Timely and accurately complete required information recording sheets on a nightly basis.
- Adhere to operational and maintenance procedures outlined in the Group Operations Manual to maintain customer service levels.
- Ensure equipment is returned to designated areas after use and maintained in a safe and efficient working order.
Requirements:
- Self-motivated and organized individual with a City and Guilds Electrical/Mechanical engineering qualification.
- Knowledge of 16th or 17th Edition electrical regulations.
- Proven electrical/mechanical maintenance background.
- Ability to read electrical schematic drawings.
- Understanding of PLC controlled equipment.
- Flexible approach to shift patterns.
- Understanding of health and safety legislation.
- Full driving license.
